Our rooms
A quiet, private place to give birth.
The birth unit at Vita Life Mother and Child Health Centre has a delivery room with a birthing bath, and a separate recovery room where you rest with your baby.
Room 8
The delivery room.
A deep birthing bath for warm-water comfort in labour, a rain shower, grab rails and a birth ball, so you can keep moving and change position as labour progresses.
Your midwife monitors you and your baby throughout, with your doula beside you.
Room 7
The recovery room.
After the birth you move to a calm room with soft light, a rocking chair for feeding and a moses basket for your baby. Your midwife checks you both before you go home, and the first feed is supported.
A light meal, tea, coffee and water are provided on the day.
